President Biden’s Speech on the Debt Ceiling and Republican Obstruction

President Biden called Republican obstruction of Democrats’ efforts to raise the debt ceiling “flat-out dangerous.”

The reason we have to raise the debt limit is—in part—because of the reckless tax and spend policies of the last administration. They incurred nearly $8 trillion in bills that we have to pay off. President Biden called on Republicans to stop putting our economy at risk by blocking Democrats’ attempts to raise the debt ceiling.
