Vice President Harris calls Americans who have benefited from the Affordable Care Act.

The Affordable Care Act has delivered quality, affordable health coverage to more than 30 million Americans. To mark the anniversary, Vice President Kamala Harris called Jessie Green from Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Brenda Hart from Cleveland, Ohio to hear about how the Affordable Care Act positively impacted their lives and their families’ lives.

The ACA gave families peace of mind that an illness or accident wouldn’t bankrupt them, banned discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, reduced prescription drug costs, and enabled children to stay on their parents’ plans until they’re 26. Today, because of the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts—including the passage of the landmark American Rescue Plan—the Affordable Care Act is the strongest it’s ever been, and health coverage is more affordable and accessible than ever before.
