The United States cannot afford to ignore the events in Nagorno-Karabakh, lest it jeopardize its own energy security, the stability of the regional transport network and result in a direct clash of the three leading regional powers – Russia, Turkey and Iran. This is the comment of Gen. Philip Breedlove, the former commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe, in a piece published by NPR. Gen. Philip Breedlove said, “for many Americans wrapped up in the presidential race, it may have been easy to miss, but fighting is once again raging in the South Caucasus over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.”…
