Advocacy Groups Press U.S. Congress to Reject Weapons Sale to Turkey

Seven organizations advocating U.S. interests in the Middle East, Mediterranean and Caucasus are putting pressure on Congress to overturn Washington’s planned sale of F-16 fighter jets and other military material to Turkey.

The Biden administration has asked Congress to approve the new sale of F-16 fighter jets, the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week, in a move that meets an existing request by Ankara.
