The First Two Fast Patrol Boats of The ‘Shaldag Mk V’ Type Delivered to The Philippine Navy


On June 28, 2022, at the shipyard of the Israeli shipbuilding company Israel Shipyards in Haifa, a ceremony was held for the transfer of the first two fast patrol boats of the Shaldag Mk V type out of eight ordered to the Philippine Navy. The acquisition is an intergovernmental agreement with the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Directorate for International Defense Cooperation (SIBAT).     As part of this agreement, the Israeli shipbuilding company Israel Shipyards (Haifa) received a $127.9 million contract to build eight Shaldag Mk V fast patrol boats for the Philippine Navy, and Rafael Advanced Systems received a $79.38…
