  Cyber utopianism can be defined as the tendency to see the Internet as a space for defending freedom and combating authoritarianism. Evgeny Morozov is a Belarusian philosopher radically opposed to this idea. In fact, he aims to warn about the dark side of the Internet and its implications. Morozov has studied in depth the political, social, economic, and cultural effects of technology.
