[UPDATE-Apr. 25] Top U.S., Sudanese Generals Speak as U.S. Weighs Embassy Evacuation

The situation at the end of April 21, 2023 –  Violent clashes between rebels from the Rapid Reaction Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces continue in the country.

U.S. General Mark Milley held call with Sudan’s General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan over safety of U.S. citizens in Sudan.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of casualties during the fighting exceeded 600 people, while the number of victims was not reported. According to WHO, 400 citizens were killed in the conflict, another 3,500 were injured.
