President Trump is returning to New York in the race’s final stretch, scheduling a rally at the city’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
Trump is planning his event for Oct. 27 to kick off the final week of campaigning, according to a campaign official familiar with the plans who spoke on the condition of anonymity ahead of a formal announcement.
He’s proving that even deep-blue Manhattan isn’t safe from the MAGA train. With the election down to the wire, he’s taking his chances in New York. But this the state that is close to his heart. He did grow up there, after all. And it’s a great way for him to enter the last lap of this campaign.
