[UPDATE] American Airlines Jet and Helicopter Collide, Crash into Washington’s Potomac River

Passenger airliner, military helicopter Black Hawk collide near Washington, DC

18 bodies have been recovered from the Potomac. There were 60 passengers on the American Airlines flight and three soldiers in the helicopter, which was engaged in a training exercise.

A Bombardier CRJ700 passenger plane and a Black Hawk military helicopter have collided midair near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
