This interview with Vivek Ramaswamy was originally released on Epoch TV on November 17, 2022.
βWe have this victimhood metastasis where everyone wants to think of themselves as a victim,β says entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. βWe have to recognize there is no winner in Americaβs oppression Olympics.β
Ramaswamy is the author of the 2021 bestselling book, βWoke, Inc.: Inside Corporate Americaβs Social Justice Scam.β
βAffirmative action is the systemic racism thatβs still here in America today,β he says. βAnd Iβm sorry to say, it will then create the new kind of anti-black racism that we had spent so many decades moving on from.β
Ramaswamyβs book, βNation of Victims,β looks at Americaβs culture of grievanceβon both the left and the rightβand how Americans have lost a sense of purpose and identity. This, he says, has paved the way for the politicization of business and the rise of woke capitalism.
βI think a culture committed to excellence demands inequality of resultsβdemands inequity of results. Iβll say the quiet part out loud,β says Ramaswamy.
