• Iranian authorities warned of severe penalties, including moharebeh charges that can carry the death penalty, as new accounts described abuse in detention, including injections of unknown substances.
• President Donald Trump warned that the United States would “wipe (Iran) off the face of this Earth” if Tehran tries to carry out assassination threats against him, saying he has given “very firm instructions” for a massive retaliation.
