• US and Iran are set to hold nuclear talks in Geneva on Tuesday, a day after Iran’s foreign minister met International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi in the Swiss city.
• US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday it would be hard to make a deal with Iran, speaking alongside Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban a day before a second round of talks between Tehran and Washington.
• Protests erupted in Abdanan in Ilam province, where residents chanted anti-government slogans ahead of 40th-day memorials for slain protesters.
• US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee expressed doubt that renewed nuclear talks with Iran would prevent eventual military action.
