• Talks between Iran and the United States in Geneva were halted due to Washington’s insistence on “zero enrichment” and the transfer of all uranium enriched to 60% to the United States, an Iranian diplomatic source told Iran International.
• Iran’s foreign ministry said the Geneva talks with the US were intense and serious, with IAEA chief Rafael Grossi present, and would resume around 18:00 local time after consultations with both capitals.
• US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Iran continues to pose a “very grave threat” to the US, citing both its nuclear ambitions and extensive missile and naval capabilities.
• US Vice President JD Vance said on Wednesday that Washington has seen evidence suggesting Iran is attempting to rebuild its nuclear program, underscoring the stakes ahead of scheduled talks.
• Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Geneva on Wednesday ahead of a new round of nuclear talks with the United States scheduled for Thursday.
