  • US ​President ⁠Donald Trump ‌told reporters he is not happy with Iran but more talks ​were ‌expected to be ‌held ⁠on Friday. Trump said he doesn’t want to use military force, but that sometimes it’s necessary.
  • Navy Admiral Brad Cooper, head of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), on Thursday briefed President Trump on potential military options against Iran, with Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine present, ABC News reported.
  • US Vice President JD Vance said on Thursday that the United States would not become entangled in another prolonged Middle East war, while leaving both diplomatic and military options open regarding Iran.
  • Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin voiced support for Iranian protesters on Thursday, telling Iran International that the United States wants to help the Iranian people reclaim their country while preventing Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
