  • Following an attack on a ship near the Strati of Hormuz, Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority said vessels using routes outside its designated framework will not be covered by safe-passage guarantees.
  • US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Washington was negotiating with Iran from a position of “pure strength” and predicted the two sides would “probably make a deal.”
  • The US-Iran de-escalation agreement must guarantee freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, GCC foreign ministers said during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
