[US-Israel, Iran War Day #120] US Strikes Iranian Military Sites After Ship Attack in Hormuz

  • A US-mediated framework agreement with Lebanon leaves Iran and Hezbollah with no role in the country while allowing Israel to keep a security zone, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday.
  • The US military said it struck Iranian missile, drone and radar sites on Friday in response to what it described as an Iranian drone attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing Tehran of violating the ceasefire and undermining freedom of navigation.
  • The naval branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it responded to what it called a US “violation of commitments” by targeting “US Army deployment sites in the region.”
  • President ​Donald ⁠Trump ‌on Friday hinted ​at ‌a US ‌response to an ⁠Iranian attack ‌on ​a cargo ship, ​saying “you’ll ⁠find ‌out” when ​asked ‌if there ​would be consequences ​for Tehran.
