• US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding with Iran aimed at ending the conflict was “over”, describing Iran’s leaders as “liars” and saying he no longer wanted to negotiate with them.

• NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Wednesday that new US attacks on Iran were “absolutely necessary” after Washington accused Tehran of violating the ceasefire.
• Iran’s foreign ministry said on Wednesday that US strikes in Iran’s southern coast were a flagrant violation of a memorandum of understanding with Washington.
• US Central Command said in a statement that its forces completed a new round of retaliatory strikes against Iran on Tuesday, hitting more than 80 targets in response to recent attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
• Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, a joint military command body coordinating Iran’s armed forces, said on Tuesday that the country would deliver a “harsh response” after what it called US attacks on parts of southern Iran.
• The US Treasury Department revoked a June 21 authorization for the production, delivery and sale of Iranian-origin crude oil, petrochemical products and petroleum products, allowing wind-down transactions until July 17 but barring new purchases or loading from Tuesday.
