- Explosions and reported missile impacts were heard across southern and southeastern Iran, including around Konarak, Chabahar, Dashtiari and Bandar Abbas, while reports concerning Qeshm and Larak remained disputed by Iranian state media.
- US President Donald Trump formally notified Congress that hostilities had resumed in Iran, saying American forces carried out “defensive strikes against targets within Iran” on July 7.
- Iran’s joint military command said it would not allow the United States to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz and warned of a forceful response to any disruption of commercial shipping.
