  • President Donald Trump said on Saturday he agreed to cancel a planned attack on Iran after Tehran and other Middle Eastern countries requested a pause, saying the sides had agreed on the “perimeters” of a deal that would include reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending Iran’s nuclear threat.
  • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged dialogue and efforts to de-escalate regional tensions during a phone call with US President Donald Trump, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
  • US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran’s efforts to export its revolution must change, arguing that Tehran’s actions will only shift if the cost becomes too high for it to continue.
  • Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Iran posed a strategic threat to global stability for decades, citing Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, missile program, regional activities and support for armed groups.
