Oil falls as markets await new US sanctions on Iran Oil prices fell and Asian shares were flat on Monday as investors awaited details of new US sanctions on Iran, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent due to unveil the measures later in the day. Brent crude fell 1% to $93.43 a barrel ahead of the announcement, after gaining 6.6% last week. US crude dropped 1.1% to $86.14.
