[UPDATE-May 31] Escalation in Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija – Serbian President Puts Armed Forces on High Combat Alert

The Serbian armed forces have been put on high combat alert based on a decree issued by President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Aleksandar Vucic, the Vecernje Novosti newspaper reported on Friday.

The Kosovo ROSU special forces began to forcibly seize at least three municipalities in the north of the province, which were under the control of local Serbian self-government.
