Concerns persist as 136 hostages, including vulnerable individuals such as the elderly, children, and women without protection, remain in Gaza under the control of Hamas.

• “136 hostages, including dozens of sick and injured without medical treatment, are still being held in Gaza. These include elders over eighty, children, and women being held hostage without protection by the cruel Hamas terrorists. We are concerned for their physical and mental well-being.
• We continue to act decisively above and below ground in Khan Yunis. Our forces located a tunnel there, where hostages were kept in harsh conditions underground. Today, we brought in journalists from the foreign press to expose to the world the crimes against humanity that Hamas commits. We continue to make every effort to return all the hostages.
• The Chief of the General Staff visited the Bureij area in central Gaza today, where he was presented with the initial inquiry into the explosion that occurred at the beginning of the week, in which six soldiers were killed and others were injured. The Chief of the General Staff noted that the mission is very complex, and we have the duty to thoroughly learn from this event and pass on the lessons learned to all the forces in Gaza. We must continue the effort to destroy Hamas’ underground terrorist infrastructure.
• Today, in the north, we struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure throughout southern Lebanon. We also struck a terrorist cell in the area of Kfarkela. Throughout the day, several launches towards Israeli territory were identified, and IDF forces responded with fire to every launch and to every shooting into our territory.
• During the night, we eliminated, from the air, a terrorist near the border in the Har Dov area, who was involved in advancing several terrorist attacks.
• We will continue to act decisively with the goal of harming anyone who harms the State of Israel, and we will continue to act decisively to keep Hezbollah away from our border.”
