• Iran’s Revolutionary Guards navy commander warned oil facilities linked to the United States could be targeted alongside American bases in the region after Israel struck a major gas site in southern
• Israel struck parts of the South Pars natural gas facilities in Iran in coordination with and with approval from the US, Axios reported citing Israeli officials.
• Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran’s stance against developing nuclear weapons is unlikely to change, while adding that the new supreme leader has not yet set out his position.
• The secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said in a statement on Tuesday night that its secretary, Ali Larijani, was killed in a morning airstrike along with his son Morteza and several bodyguards.
• US President Donald Trump told reporters on Tuesday that he is “not afraid” of deploying boots on the ground in Iran when asked about concerns that such a move could lead to a situation like the Vietnam War.
• “The assassination of Larijani was made possible thanks to valuable intelligence that Israeli intelligence services received from residents of Tehran over the past 24 hours,” an Israeli official told Iran International.
