  • US Central Command said on Friday its forces disabled two Iranian-flagged empty oil tankers before they could enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman in violation of the US blockade. IRGC outlet Fars News also reported “scattered” clashes with US forces.
  • US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States expected Iran’s response to Washington’s proposal on Friday and hoped it would lead to serious negotiations.
  • Iran’s Foreign Ministry Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that the US turns to “reckless military adventure” whenever diplomacy is possible and insisted Iran would not yield to pressure.
