• US launches new wave of strikes on Iran, reports CENTCOM
• Iran asked Yemen’s Houthis to prepare to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait if the United States attacks Iranian power infrastructure, three sources told Reuters.
• “US forces struck Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten innocent mariners crewing commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” CENTCOM said.
• US President Donald Trump said he would expand military strikes on Iran to power plants and bridges unless Tehran returned to negotiations, warning in a Fox News interview broadcast on Tuesday that attacks would intensify next week.
• US Central Command said American forces resumed a naval blockade against vessels transiting to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, adding that more than 20 US Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft are operating across the Middle East.
