• US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said sanctions had shut down most Iranian international flights and questioned how Tehran’s UN delegation would return home. Iranian airlines nevertheless continued some overseas services, while flights to Azerbaijan were suspended and Turkish Airlines halted its Iran routes.
• Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Ali Abdollahi vowed continued revenge for the country’s slain supreme leader and children killed in Minab, warning that countries attacking Iran or supporting such attacks would not be secure.
• Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon said Israel had “not finished our mission with Iran yet” and would press for tougher sanctions on Tehran.
