Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has thwarted a terrorist attack on law enforcement officers in the Bashkortostan region and detained a Russian national who was preparing the attack, the FSB said in a statement on Friday. “The Federal Security Service has thwarted a terrorist attack in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The FSB’s operation resulted in the detention of a Russian national, born in 1995, who was making preparations to attack law enforcement officers,” the statement reads.
