Jerry Nadler wasn’t happy when former White House counsel Don McGahn didn’t show up for the hearing. Why didn’t McGahn show? Because the Office of Legal Counsel of the DOJ wrote an opinion that stated Presidential advisors are immune from testifying in front of Congress when it comes to their relationship with the President.
