U.S. missions in Turkey closed down due to terror threat

The United States’ Mission in Turkey has released a warning about possible terrorist attacks targeting U.S. or other foreign nationals in Turkey. The website of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara released a statement on Friday saying it had “received credible reports of potential terrorist attacks and kidnappings against U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in Istanbul, including against the U.S. Consulate General, as well as potentially other locations in Turkey.  U.S. citizens are advised to exercise heightened caution in locations where Americans or foreigners may gather, including large office buildings or shopping malls.” As a result, the embassy said it had suspended all…
