Explosion hits tanker off Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah

Shipping firm Hafnia says its tanker was hit by an unidentified ‘external source’, causing a fire and an explosion. An oil tanker off the Saudi Arabian port of Jeddah was hit by an explosion Monday, according to local sources. The Singapore-flagged BW Rhine suffered material damage after being hit by “an external source”, the BW Group, a shipping company, said in a statement.
