Cardinal Louis “Raphael I” Sako has announced that Pope Francis will meet Iraq’s top Shia Muslim cleric, the Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, during a papal visit to the Middle Eastern country that’s being planned for early March. The cardinal — who, as Chaldean Patriarch of Babylonia, is Iraq’s most senior Catholic leader — broke the news end of January  at a press conference sponsored by the Œuvre d’Orient and the French Bishops’ Conference.    …
