Afghanistan: Taliban Emir Akhundzada called on Afghans to “contribute to the restoration of the homeland”

In his annual message ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Taliban Emir Mawlavi Khibatullah Akhundzada called on Afghans to “contribute to the restoration of our homeland” so that there is a prosperous and progressive country “in the shadow of the Islamic system.” He also added that the movement considers the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO forces a “good step” and urged implementation of all parts of the Doha Agreement.
