Australia to Acquire Nuclear-Powered Submarines in Historic Security Pact with U.S. and UK

The leaders of the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom signed an agreement to form the AUKUS alliance. The unspoken goal is to counter China. Australia has already abandoned its $ 90 billion French submarine program. Instead, Australia will start building an atomic fleet using American and British technology.
