Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently said businessman and philanthropist Osman Kavala was “a remnant of Soros” as he slammed a joint statement by ambassadors from 10 of Turkey’s Western allies. “With their money these people want to shake up any place they want, however they want,” Erdogan said, equating Kavala to the Hungarian-American investor and philanthropist George Soros.
