GOP Leads Dems by 9 Points Generic Ballot, Rasmussen Poll Reports

Republicans lead Democrats by 9 points in a generic congressional vote 48%-39% entering the midterm election year, according to the latest Rasmussen poll. The same poll has Joe Biden’s approval rating under water, with 58% disapproving his performance since his inauguration a year ago Thursday. Biden’s slide in 2021 began around the time of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in mid-August, and has continued sharply downward since.
