On April 24, a presidential runoff will be held in France, with incumbent President Emmanuel Macron, who scored 27.8% of votes in the first round, and Marine Le Pen from the far-right National Rally, with 23.1% of votes, running.
A survey conducted by multinational research company Ipsos on April 18-20 showed that:
- Macron stood the highest chances to win the election with 56.5% of French citizens ready to vote for him,
- while Le Pen is backed by 43.5% of respondents.
