Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has earmarked 19th October, 2023 as a potential date for a second referendum on Scottish independence. Scots were promised a ‘once in a generation opportunity’ to vote for independence in 2014 where the Yes movement narrowly missed out by 55.3% to 44.7%.
