We all suffer losses at certain points in our lives. In the face of these events, grief is the natural reaction. It allows us to process our emotions, integrate what’s happened, and move on. Even if we anticipate the pain, and know that, sooner or later, we’re going to experience it, this doesn’t diminish its intensity or relevance. It’s at these moments when we feel ourselves falling into the abyss of grief, that the presence and support of others can save us.
