For more than 2 weeks in Sudan, clashes between the Rapid Reaction Forces and government forces have not stopped. Despite the decrease in the intensity of fighting, the situation in the country remains stable and difficult.
According to the Ministry of Health of Sudan, since the beginning of hostilities, 500 people have died, more than 4100 have been injured of varying severity. According to the UN, 512 people died and about 4,200 were injured during the conflict.
The Sudanese doctors’ union has warned of the imminent destruction of the country’s healthcare system. Medical supplies are in short supply, and hospitals stop working due to constant shelling.
