The word fatphobia is no longer alien to us. In fact, it’s becoming increasingly popular. The word defines the violence, hatred, rejection, and discrimination suffered by people who are overweight. The message that overweight people receive from their families, the work environment, the medical profession, social media, and the media is that their bodies are invalid.
