By Israel Defense Forces strikes Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces delivered strikes on a number of military facilities controlled by Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement in response to missile launches from the Lebanese territory, the IDF press service said on Thursday.
“Yesterday (Nov. 15), an anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon toward the area of Shlomi in northern Israel. In response, the IDF struck the Hezbollah launch post from which the missile was fired,” IDF said. Furthermore, the IDF said its troops “struck several observation posts and additional launch posts, a weapons compound, and terror infrastructure sites” belonging to Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, the Senate of the U.S. Congress approved the federal government’s temporary financing plan, which does not include military aid to Ukraine and Israel, according a live broadcast by U.S. TV channels.
The document will be submitted to Joe Biden for signing, and the U.S. leader is expected to approve it. The initiative envisages continued financing to a number of U.S. governmental programs and agencies, including those related to agriculture, energy, military construction, transport and housing until January 19, 2024. The financing of other programs and agencies is extended until February 2, 2024.
The document contains no mention of funding for US military aid to Israel and Ukraine.
