By “Everything that happened at the border is just the promo”
The war of minds between the General Uri Gordin, commander of the Northern Command and Hezbollah’s Nasrallah.
Since the outbreak of the war, General of the Northern Command Uri Gordin granted independence to the brigades in the field. The result: Hezbollah was surprised and more than 170 of its men were killed. But Gordin has already made it clear to his men in the field that the war is already here and the command is preparing for it with great vigor.
Hezbollah was surprised twice. The timing and scope of the Hamas attack on the Israeli home front and the rapid thickening of the IDF formations along the Lebanese border.
More than 220 terrorists have been killed by IDF fire, of which 176 are Hezbollah terrorists and a third of them are fighters from the Radwan force, defined as the organization’s elite force. In addition, more than 450 terrorists have been wounded and weapons have been released, more than 45 Hezbollah operatives since the beginning of January alone In addition to this, the IDF attacked more than 650 terrorist infrastructures of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, which include surface-to-air missile components, positions, military bases, weapons depots, command and control centers, rocket launch pits and hiding apartments.
It is important to emphasize that the reserve commanders who met General Gordin in the field, came away convinced that he wanted to expand the limited campaign into an aggressive war deep in the territory of Lebanon in order to remove the threat of Hezbollah and keep them away from the border.
