On Jan. 12th, the Finnish government once again extended the closed border regime with Russia for a month. The deadline has now been moved to February 11. However, it is highly likely that it will be extended further, considering the stance of the Finnish authorities. In light of this, it is worth assessing how the current policy of the Finnish leadership (which also applies to Sweden and Norway) is affecting their own citizens and the sentiments within the Scandinavian states.
