Defense Minister Gallant after a flight over Gaza: “The operation in Khan Yunis will soon expand to other places, the mushrooms of smoke will cover the skies of Gaza until we achieve our goals“
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant arrived today at Air Force Squadron 100 at the Hazor base, and flew over Gaza, together with the squadron’s commander, Lieutenant Colonel Sh. Afterwards, the Minister of Defense held a dialogue with the pilots, squadrons and air crew members, and visited the ground crews responsible for the aircraft’s armaments. The Minister of Defense expressed his appreciation to the air and ground teams, and emphasized the importance of coordination between the Air Force and the forces operating in the Gaza Strip in order to achieve the operational goals.
The Minister of Defense said at the end of the flight: “I just got off a flight with Squadron 100, on a patrol over the Gaza Strip. I saw the forces operating in the north of the Gaza Strip, in the center of the Gaza Strip, in the south of the Gaza Strip, things look unusual, I witnessed a real-time attack by the Air Force in the south of Gaza City.”
“The precision, the quality of the execution, the perfect coordination with the forces, are very impressive. We are actively operating in the Khan Yunis area and it will continue to expand. The smoke mushrooms of the tanks, of the cannons and of the Air Force planes will continue to cover the skies of Gaza, until we achieve our goals, chief among them – the defeat of Hamas and the return of abductees to their homes.”
