Demonstrations following the fatal police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Centre, turned violent overnight. Reporters have tried to prevent Brooklyn Centre Police Chief Tim Gannon from describing violent unrest overnight as a “riot”. “I was front and center at the protest – at the riot,” Mr Gannon said.
