Myanmar: Two more people shot dead at anti-coup protests


Two more people have been shot dead and 20 others injured in Myanmar’s anti-coup protests, a day after a young woman succumbed to her gunshot wounds and became the first known casualty of the public display of grievance in the country. Police opened fire on protesters in the city of Mandalay on Saturday. “Twenty people were injured and two are dead,” said Ko Aung, a leader of the Parahita Darhi volunteer emergency service agency in the city. “One shot in the head died at the spot.
