The Sahel-based Islamic State of West Africa (ISWAP) unit reported the killing of five Christians at a fictitious checkpoint between Mali and Niger. Warning – Graphic Pics According to a communiqué issued on June 5, 2021, four days earlier, on June 1st, gunmen patrolled the road between Gao and Niamey, during which they “arrested” five Christians and then shot them with machine guns. The terrorists also claim the murder of a “spy” in the Menaka area in Mali and two other “spies” in Tongo Tongo in Niger.
